Design Strategies & Projects

I bring together the hard sciences and the social sciences to formulate meaningful proposals rooted in practical experience.

My aim? To improve the world's habitability & bring about transitions through a systemic, multi-disciplinary & strategic approach to design and complex problems.

Design ?

When design is mentioned, many picture an eccentric artist creating overpriced chairs. Spoiler: I've never designed a chair in my life.

Design is a scientific discipline that combines methodological rigor with creative flexibility. It sits at the crossroads of technology, creativity, and the social sciences.

The goal? To analyze, question, and solve meaningful problems.

«The designer is an emerging synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist, and strategist of evolution.» Buckminister Fuller

The role of design?

Design is sometimes used to boost sales, produce gadgets, or even control behaviors...

It should always serve to improve the habitability of the world and the quality of relationships woven within it. Design can make places accessible, create equitable public policies, promote access to education, and support social, environmental, political, and economic transitions, among other actions for the common good.

«As socially and morally committed designers, we must respond to the needs of a world at a breaking point, while the human clock always strikes one minute to midnight.» Victor Papanek

How ?

Two main stages:

• Research: Understanding needs, uses, and contexts in order to provide effective solutions. (Systemic analysis, bibliographic research, openness to other disciplines, field studies, semi-structured interviews…)

• Conception : Mobilizing a variety of methods and tools to create a solution. (Ideation, co-construction, prototyping, testing, iteration, production...)

→ Solutions can include services, laws, organizations, strategies, tools, games, events, transportation, chairs...
